Media Arabic 1 (MA1) Upper Intermediate Level
In this course you will study and practice
* Essential newspaper vocabulary and expressions and use them in meaningful context
* Connectors & special grammatical and morphological rules that are used in newspaper language
* Reading comprehension for authentic short & long articles
* Listening comprehension
* Translation of short articles from Arabic to English & vice versa
Topics:
Media 1 will focus mainly on these areas:
* Formal visits & meetings
* Conferences & negotiations
Who should take this course?
A student who is
* Interested in reading Arabic newspapers & listening to Arabic news
* An intermediate MSA student, which means that you
- studied most of the basic grammar ;
- know the essential morphological rules and are aware of
sentence formation in compound & complex sentences ;
- have a range of basic vocabulary and are able to use it in comprehensive reading & writing .
Course duration:
Classes are from Monday to Thursday for 2 hours each.
